Yesterday, 29, was held the graduation of the first class of the Women’s Leadership Accelerator Program. The project of the Secretariat of Public Policies for Women is part of the Municipal Program for Improvement and Innovation of the Policy to Combat Violence against Women, has a partnership with Sebrae and is funded by the Federal Government.
The program attended 20 women from different areas who already worked at some level of leadership, so that they had the opportunity to improve their skills and prepare them so that next year they can each train another 20 women in their respective areas. According to the Secretary of Public Policies for Women and also one of the trainees, Priscila Schran, the area of innovation was not left out. “One of the sectors that we focused on improving leadership was precisely the innovation and technology sector, because we want to develop women and have women leaders in these areas as well,” she said.
The certificate ceremony for the 20 women who took part in the course was attended by Mayor Celso Góes, councilmen, municipal secretaries, representatives from Sebrae, and partner institutions. For Councilwoman and Cilla Tech Park’s Accounting Advisor, Bruna Spitzner, the program is essential to promote more equity in the labor market. “Today it is still very difficult to have women in leadership positions, especially in the technology and innovation areas, but this issue has been changing little by little, and this program, this process of accelerating the training of these women so that they feel prepared to occupy this space is extremely important. This program comes to put more in perspective the leadership and the protagonism of these women in the area, be it in innovation, social areas, social causes, but that they are where they want to be,” he said.
Cilla Tech Park congratulates all the graduates and encourages programs like this, because as a technology park, CTP seeks to build better futures and gender equity is a fundamental step to make this possible.
