Innovation Center participates in 1st FECITIBE

Representatives from the Innovation Center at Cilla Tech Park participated in the 1st Science, Technology and Innovation Fair on November 28th to 30th. The event is an initiative of the City Hall of Francisco Beltrão, through the Municipal Secretariat of Education.

During the three-day event, teachers and students from the municipal education network of Francisco Beltrão were able to exhibit activities prepared during the 2022 school year in the schools.

The CTP Innovation Center participated in the fair to present the actions carried out by the Guarapuava technological park in favor of education connected to innovation.

At the Center’s booth, students had contact with innovation from two activities, according to Isabela Edling, who conducted the dynamics. “In the LED circuit, the children had an explanation about ions, the positive and negative parts, how batteries work, and the importance of knowing about this for everyday life,” she said. In the circuit activity, the students were able to build the path to light up the LED and used their creativity to paint the drawings that would be illuminated. “We also explained a little about the Otto robot and the importance of technology in the school environment for the development of children,” she explained. The Otto robot is a prototype created with Arduino by CTP’s Maker, Jhonnathan Ferreira. The robot has a sensor that allows it to walk through paths with obstacles.

For the Director of the Innovation Center, Isabela Queiroz, it was an honor for the Barn to participate in the first FECITIBEL. “We believe that investing in these children’s dreams is to promote a future full of imagination and creativity, in which they will be the main actors of regional transformation through innovative actions,” she said.

The Guarapuava Technology Park encourages actions like this, because we believe that innovation should be taught from the base. “We need to take care of the base, planting and watering these seeds, that way we will harvest beautiful fruits,” Isabela Queiroz concluded.

Cilla Tech Park hopes to participate in the second edition to connect more students and teachers to the technological innovations carried out in the Innovation Center.
